DO NOT ORDER VALUABLE ITEMS TO BE DELIVERED BY MAIL

Packages delivered to the front door are at risk for mail theft. It is not recommended to have valuable items sent by mail if you are not home to receive it. If possible, it is recommended to have your package shipped to the nearest postal/vendor branch for pick-up.

PACKAGE DELIVERY

In order to prevent mail loss you can request your packages to be delivered as below:

  1. Require package to be delivered to your front door when placing your order.
  2. *Request a signature confirmation for package delivery
  3. *Order package by certified mail

*The carrier will need to issue you a written notice to obtain your signature to leave you package at your front door.

REPORT MAIL LOSS

Mail carriers will deliver packages to the recipient at the unit’s front door or leave a written notice in the mailbox/on front door to hold the package for recipient to pick up at the local branch.

Residents have the right to report a missing delivery to both the merchant and mail carrier to claim monetary loss. Standard protocol for reporting stolen or undelivered packages should be as follows:

  • Report stolen/lost package caused by incomplete delivery with lost date & time to the merchant and its carrier
  • Claim monetary loss from the merchant
  • Lost or undelivered packages by USPS can be reported to the Postal Inspection at     1-800-275-8777 for an investigation to take place
